Effective 15 October 2026
Halehame is built so that typing stays on your phone. This page explains the one feature that does not, and exactly what it sends.
The Halehame keyboard does not use the network and does not ask for Full Access. Everything you type, the words it learns from you, and your settings stay on your device, in storage shared only between the keyboard and the Halehame app. We never see them.
Dictation is the only part of Halehame that uses a server. When you tap the microphone and speak, the Halehame app streams the audio to Halehame's relay server, which passes it to Google's Gemini API for transcription and returns the text to you. This happens only while you are dictating.
Minute counts are deleted twelve months after the last dictation.
Halehame Plus and Halehame Voice are sold through Apple. Apple handles payment and we receive only the signed record of the purchase.
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no accounts. The app does not collect your contacts, location or anything else from your device.
Halehame is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You can turn the microphone key off in the app's settings, cancel Halehame Voice in your Apple ID settings at any time, and ask us to delete your usage count by writing to support@halehame.com.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
